Investors Meet Museveni on Boosting Dairy Production

The don said the feeds help in playing a major role in steady increase of fish numbers in water bodies.


The academic also presented another proposal centred on the improvement of the dairy sector in Uganda in as far as production, processing and marketing of milk and milk products, is concerned.


President Museveni also received a delegation of potential investors from a firm known as Packo Inox NV, Belgium, led by the Managing Director, Mr. Johan Ameel.


The President and his guests discussed possibilities of the Belgian-based firm contributing to the improvement of the dairy value chain in Uganda using and preserving natural resources.


Once established in Uganda, Packo Uganda is expected to build an assembly factory, a distribution point and introduction of on-farm cooling system.


According to the firm’s Managing Director, Packo Uganda will also aim at improving the lives of 400 dairy farmers in the country every year.

The firm will be part of the larger Packo Belgian Ltd and Full-wood Packo Group Ltd of UK.


The meetings were attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sam Kutesa and Uganda’s Ambassador to Netherlands, Ms. Marjam Blaak, among others.
