Over the weekend, Jinja Municipal Council was pitted against Police FC in the second most prestigious football tournament in Ugandan football.

Police were making their second trip to Jinja in this year’s competition.

In the early rounds of this year’s Uganda cup, Police needed penalties to see off Sadolin Paints.

They were hoping for the same lady luck against Jinja MC.

Instead the FUFA Big League side edged Police 1-0 to qualify for the quarterfinals.

Bageya Edwin scored the game’s solitary goal.
