“An interim order doth issue staying the execution and implementation of the ruling and orders of the High Court in miscellaneous application no.94 of 2014 by Hon. Lady Justice Lydia Mugambe pending the determination of main application,” read part of the order.

The order further stayed all interim orders earlier given including those by Justice Yasin Nyanzi in November last year until the main application is heard and determined.

It further directed the Court Registrar to ensure that all necessary pre-trial steps for the main application for stay of execution pending in the court to facilitate the hearing of the main application for stay of execution not later than 21 days.

“An interim order doth issue restraining the respondent herein (Erias Lukwago) from performing the functions of the Office of the Lord Mayor of Kampala City pending the determination of the main application,” further read the order.
