Chameleone: Ugandan Deejays “Killing” Local Music Talent

“I have succeeded in eliminating Congolese music from Uganda, now my next move is to eliminate Nigerian music from our country,” vowed the country’s music star.

Chameleon called upon all radio and club deejays to champion the campaign of popularizing Ugandan music.

“I have travelled in different countries of the world but I have never seen any nightclub promoting Ugandan music apart from playing a few songs of popular Ugandan artistes.”

Chameleone’s remarks come at a time when local musicians are struggling to breakthrough amid the domination of foreign music in nightclubs and on airwaves.
