He thanked H.E Duxmann for playing a significant role in the Uganda-German bilateral relations and hoped that he would continue promoting Uganda in his retirement.
Minister Sam Kutesa wished H.E Duxmann all the success in his future endeavours and reiterated that the Ministry will extend the same cooperation and support to his incoming colleague.
On his part, H.E Duxmann said “he had been humbled by Uganda¡’s hospitality over the three and half years of his tour of duty and commended the professionalism and openness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs staff.
During his time, he has significantly promoted Uganda-German relations and one of his priorities was to bolster economic cooperation and Investment promotion, especially in agriculture.
The luncheon was held at Fang Fung Restaurant, Communications House, Kampala.
In attendance were the Dean of Diplomatic Corps and the High Commissioner of Trinidad and Tobago to Uganda H.E. Patrick Edwards, the EU Ambassador to Uganda H.E Kristian Schmidt, the Deputy Ambassador of German to Uganda, Amb. Joachim Duster, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amb.
