After the restoration, a joint meeting was held by the ministries of;


1. Health,


2. Water and Environment,


3. Finance, Planning and economic development and the user departments; Mulago National Referral Hospital and National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NW&SC).


This meeting agreed on the following;

1. A verification committee be set up to scrutinize the bills and come up with a report on the agreed outstanding bills to be paid by Mulago Hospital.

2. That a technical team be set up to investigate the technical feasibility of separating other institutions from the Mulago Hospital water meter.


3. All issues of non payment be reviewed and resolved without having any Ugandan citizen affected.

The Ministry of Water and Environment with National Water and Sewerage Corporation wishes to reassure the entire public of its commitment to provide reliable services to the delight of all its customers. The customer is the reason we exist.

Mulago Hospital

The Ministry of Health and Mulago National Referral Hospital reassure all Ugandans that the hospital is fully connected to water supply and clinical work is going on without any interruptions.


The hospital continues to offer its routine super-specialised services as per its mandate.


All patients refereed to the hospital will be treated appropriately as the hospital is fully operational.
