We also reported that some Good Samaritan turned up and paid all the monies upon which police set her free.

Kigali sources have now told ChimpLyf that Asiimwe mysteriously disappeared from her advertising post at the News Times Publication, a department whose money she allegedly pocketed.

“She could not handle the shame amounting from the scandal. She just disappeared like that,” a source told us.

“No one knows where she is.”

The source didn’t clarify whether Asiimwe resigned officially but it was clear that she was not sacked per se.

Who is Asiimwe?

At 22 years, Praise Juliet Asiimwe, already had the guts to stand for Miss World beauty pageant in China back in 2008.

Asiimwe, the first daughter of reverend Elly Akankwasa and Mrs Joice Akankwasa, did Mass Communication at Makerere University Kampala.

She was part of Down Town Models before being crowned Miss Uganda 2000.

She began her studies at Rugarama Child Centre, Kabale Primary School before moving on to Kigezi High School for S.1 to S.2.

The family then shifted to their present home in Rukungiri which saw Praise join Kinyasano girls where she sat her ordinary level examinations.

While at Kinyasano Girls School in Rukurungiri, she recited a poem before President Museveni later earning her a slot as presenter on Radio Rukungiri.

She then joined advanced level education at Kibubura Girls School form where she connected to Makerere University.

Praise likes swimming, watching movies, going to church, praying, listening to the radio and reading.
