Kigozi made the ranks while speaking to hundreds that had turned up for Sisimuka Uganda’s National Action for Awakening Uganda Conference in Kampala on Saturday.

“In my early life as a medical doctor I made a similar mistake paying no attention to my husband’s businesses because I thought they didn’t concern me. When he passed on I almost didn’t know where to start from,” she said.

Kigozi retired from the investment body in 2011 and has been occupied with agriculture passionately focusing on agro forestry. She is also into processed maize flour, peas among others.

She thus advised women to actively engage in planning for their families, minimize lavish expenditures and start up personal small scale enterprises.

“Government jobs don’t last long. They vanish at any point. While I was there I could not imagine at a time like this I would be dipping my hands in soil,” she said.
