In her speech to the guests, the Minister for Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, Maria Mutagamba, commended the tourism board for lifting Uganda’s flag high during the world exhibition.


“I am confident that going forward, Uganda Tourism Board will continue to effectively spearhead the promotion of Uganda as a tourism destination and lead us to greater recognition as a world tourism destination,” she asserted.


The Minister urged all stakeholders to capitalise on the unique attractions in the country such as the mountain gorillas, source of the Nile, white water rafting and the rare bird species which she noted are over 1050 to help lure tourists.
