She further mentioned that this investment is just one of the many water projects that Uganda Breweries Limited has implemented across the country, having recently invested in water and sanitation programmes in Kampala, Jinja and Mbarara – altogether benefitting over 1,000,000 people.
The facilities, installed with technical support of Agency for Capacity Building (ACB), are part of a wider initiative to ensure sustainable development through provision of access to clean water.
The tanks handed over to the community are linked to a water harvesting facility have a capacity of 20,000 litres each. They will be managed by the Naguru community.
