Kisoro: Police Arrest 2 Nigerians Over Illegal Entry

The duo was arrested on the March 18, from Jaguar bus in Kisoro town on intelligence information as they showed signs of being stranded.


Elly Maate, the Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson, told Chimpreports on Friday that on their arrest, the two claimed to have been living in Stella zone Najanankunbi, Kampala.


One had an expired visa while the other had no relevant documents.


Maate said the police are still investigating them and they will be transferred to police headquarters for further questioning.


“Arrangements to transfer them to Police headquarters are being made so that investigations are fully made there and corrective action taken against them,” Maate said.


In a related development, Kabale police are holding a 34 year-old man for allegedly breaking into a house and critically injuring one person before taking off with unspecified amounts of money.


The suspect Bosco Byaruhanga, a resident of Ruhonwa cell Muhanga town, together with another person last week broke into the house of the victim one Tumuramye Agnes a former wife and cut her and took from her unspecified amount of money and her mobile phone as they left her for death.


The deceased was rushed to Kisizi hospital in Rukungiri in critical condition the suspect is under police custody for investigation.
