The party has so far registered four candidates eyeing the party ticket who include among others; the former contestant, Peter Sematimba, Fred Kazibwe, Muhammad Kasule and the former Lubaga division LC III chairperson, Twaha Najji.
The four candidates are expected to roll out campaigns in all the five divisions of Kampala with over 1000 villages which, according to Kakooza, have over 30 voters in each village.
Meanwhile, the embattled Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago, continues to condemn the legality of the by-elections; there are still claims that he petitioned the EC warning them against holding the by-elections since a court order reinstated him to the same seat.
However, the EC spokesperson, Jotham Taremwa, maintains that the commission has not yet received any letter demanding from Lukwago.
