Appearing before the General Court Martial in Makindye on the Tuesday of last week, court charged that Muramagi, RO/ 07052, between the months of May 2013 and February 2014 while in diverse areas of Kampala metropolitan together with other members developed a plan to kill his superiors and some members of the Ugandan Parliament, a conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline of the defence forces.

Sources have revealed that the said Muramagi group members in the plot are also being hunted by intelligence who will soon be arrested to answer similar charges.

However, Muramagi expressed disappointment in his bosses claiming that he is just being framed for reasons well known to themselves.

“This is an injustice imposed on the innocent person which results from abuse of power and authority by an individual; It has now resulted into violation of my rights,” he said.

Muramagi denied any association with Mbabazi and Tinyefuza but admitted that he only worked with them when Mbabazi was Minister for security and when Tinyefuza was the coordinator of security services.

Muramagi was arrested two weeks ago after an intelligence brief to the president, detailing allegedly illegal activities of the highly trained spy.

He was detained at Makindye Military barracks under the holding charge of treason and also having links include links to Mbabazi and Gen. Tinyefunza.
