Uganda Excels At Nairobi Swimming Contest

Ugandan fielded a team of seven swimmers who gave other competitors a tight show.

The seven swimmers included Anthea Mudane scooped 2 gold medals and 2 bronze, Jessy Sengonzi lifted 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze, Noah Senkebe won 2 bronze.

Nicole Lutale lifted 2 silver, Rebecca Sengonzi came back with 3 gold medals, 4 silver and 1 bronze and Katrine Sangalyambogo scooped 2 silver medals.

Speaking at function where the team was handing over the medals to the Swimming Federation yesterday at Kampala Parents School, Irene Mudanye, the Team Manager, said that the team is now focusing on Canah swimming championship which is slated for April.

13 countries have already confirmed to feature in this international event.

The team is currently handled by a Zambian coach Chisela Knachela.
