Apparently, Nyanzima together with his friend who managed to escape the mob hired a boda boda rider at a stage in Mbarara trading centre along Jinja road, to take them to Namatogonya.

On the way, they started hitting the rider with iron bars.

Fortunately, the rider made an alarm and other cyclists came to his rescue, pursued the thieves and managed to net one Nyanzima who they beat to death.

“We condemn acts of mob violence because one is not given a chance to be tried, so the public is urged to always apprehend the suspect and later contact police,” advised Idi Ibin Ssenkumbi, the police spokesperson Kampala Metropolitan.

Ssenkumbi revealed that such acts have been mostly registered in Mukono areas where most people take the law in their hands and here innocent lives can be lost.

He warned after investigations to arrest all those who got involved in the action, because the action counts to a murder case.
