During their first graduation ceremony, the students showcased their skills to the crowds that turned up for the event.
Deputy RPC Johnson Bahimbisibwe, noted that the absence of any or adequate appliances for extinguishing fires in the building is becoming a big challenge.
He said by ensuring that staff receive appropriate instructions and training, fire outbreaks can be contained.
Henry Damulira, the Director of Swift Academy, appreciated the IGP Gen Kale Kayihura, for choosing his school for the fire prevention course.
Damulira also observed that a fire outbreak is never a pleasant incident but creates serious problems for residents of that particular property.
“The wisest thing is to stop the fire before it gets to the important assets through the skills gained already,” he advised the graduates.
