Okurut said primary research has it that many women are being sexually harassed at their places of work as the only way to gain or retain their jobs.

“It is so absurd that big men force sexual affairs on upon their junior female workers and unfortunately in case they denounce their plea, that same day they are sucked out of work,” she lamented.

Okurut further revealed that the ministry is stepping up their operation against Sexually Transmitted Marks that are always awarded in schools to students after having a sex affair with their teachers or lecturers.

She has however appealed to police to step up its operations against men who undress women in the vice of enforcing the Anti-Pornography Law.

“This is totally unacceptable and these ‘hooligans’ who are misusing the law should be handled with an iron hand so as to protect and preserve the rights of women.”

Okurut has therefore appreciated the new Anti-pornography act which she said was timely in preserving the diminishing moral values of our country due to the westernisation.

She warned against the escalating swear videos that are set to harm the mindset of young people in the country that are always accessed in internet cafes and video halls.
