The suspects are all residents of Busingye village, Nyabweya parish of Kasenda Sub County in Kabarole district.


Moses Africana, the assistant Warden Law Enforcement Officer, told Chimpreports that the suspects were arrested on Monday this week on a
tip off from their undercover informers.


In an interview with Chimp Corp, Bob Abaho, the suspects admitted having been involved in the killing of the animals in search of school fees.


Africana said the suspects will be charged with unlawful possession of wildlife body parts.


President Museveni last week ordered for the shooting of armed poachers while visiting Kidepo Valley National Park after armed poachers paused threat to game rangers by shooting them.


The President was responding to reports that pockets of armed poachers…the Tipeth from South Sudan and Turkana from Kenya keeping crossing into the parks to kill animals, destroy crops and sometimes live several people dead.


This was during celebrations to mark 50 years of Kidepo Valley National Park at Napore open grounds, Apoka Village in Dodoth West Constituency in Kaabong District.


“Those with guns who cross to disturb…you should shoot them. You are accusing the army of not doing their work. There is some sleeping here in the army…they should shoot those fellows. If I get this report, I will come and camp here and see who crosses here,” he said.
