The game was rescheduled by FUFA Super League Board after the last week’s encounter was suspended after Police FC players were asked by their head coach Angelo Lonyensi to walk off the pitch.

“We are not going to participate in that match because Police Fc started the trouble that saw the referee abandon the match,’’ explained the club’s official Paddy Ssenkungu.

“May be Mujib Kasule who is the vice president in charge of league matters wants Proline to survive relegation at cost of Masaka Lc,’’ he added.

Police FC claim being denied their goal after the ball reportedly crossed the goal line.

However, the referee denied the allegation in his report to FUFA.

By the time the game was suspended (65th minute) Masaka LC was leading by one goal nil and the rescheduled game will be played 90 minutes.

Meanwhile, the FSL board is set to lift a ban on Buikwe grounds where Vipers used to host its games after inspection.

The playground which was blacklisted over cases of hooliganism has in recent weeks been undergoing reconstruction.

The federation’s board which inspected the grounds last week hopes to have meeting with relevant stakeholders with the view of reopening it.
