Duncan Tumusiime is the son of Prof. Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile, the Governor Bank of Uganda and Betty Mutebile; while Marion Natukunda is daughter of Mary Mutaahi and Nathan Kamaryo of Nyaihanga, Rwampara in Mbarara District.

Premier Mbabazi, who was accompanied by his wife, Canon Jacqueline Mbabazi, congratulated the couple on their marriage and also thanked the parents for grooming their children.

Mbabazi wished the couple a warm circle of friends whom he said are the most valuable treasure they will ever collect in life.

“When children find true love, parents find true joy,” Mbabazi said, adding that children are a direct reflection of the effort you put in to raise them.

Duncan and Marion tied the knot at All Saints Cathedral Nakasero. The ceremony was presided over by the Archbishop of Church of Uganda, Stanley Ntagali who in his sermon challenged the couple to embrace the dynamics of love which include patience and kindness.

He said love does not envy, is not arrogant or irritable, adding that it bears all things, believes all things and endures all things.

“Some men find it difficult to say sorry, but you should learn to say so because you are not angels,” Ntagali said.

The Archbishop congratulated the couple for choosing natural love as authored by God and not homosexuality which is threatening family life.
