“I have been in retirement almost the whole of this year but it was like a forced one because I wanted to seek refuge in retirement so that wrangles can stop,” she stated.

The super lady further noted that “wrangles are still going on within the Federation and I don’t hope to come back in the sport if wrangles are not settled”.

“I will settle for other constructive and developmental activities than motorsport next year,” she clarified, although she has just bought a new Subaru N14 from former African rally champion, Mohamed Essa.

The whole of last year, Muwonge completed only one rally which was the Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally that took place in August but she said she loves the game only that wrangles are taking away her passion.

This year, only two potential drivers competed favourably after controversy between the Federation of motorsports Clubs in Uganda and rally drivers like Ponsiano Lwakataka and Duncan Mubiru who would have given a bigger challenge to the two drivers (Jas Mangati and Ronald Ssebuguzi).
