“The Sacco which is based in Mubende district will utilise part of the funds for the construction of its offices in Mubende town,” Kagingo said.
Mr. Museveni also handed over, to Reverend David Sejimba of Kamusenene Church of Uganda in Mityana Diocese, a donation of Shs 20m towards the renovation of the Church.
Mrs. Katsigazi thanked President Museveni for the financial donation as well as the 40 heads of cattle from him that were delivered by the Woman MP of Mubende district, Hon. Benny Bugembe Nnalongo Namugwanya.
“We thank you very much for inviting us to your country home, and for honouring your pledge on time. This is a sign of love for development for the people of Uganda. The cows you donated have multiplied by 28,” she reported.
The Bagezza Sacco Chairperson further thanked President Museveni for the Mushroom Project which she said was ‘doing very well’.
The President, last year 2012, donated Shs 10m to the same Sacco and it was used to purchase four goats for each Sub-County in Mubende district.
Mr. Museveni also promised to buy a charcoal machine for the Sacco in the next financial year.
He told them that the National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS) will facilitate them with a jam processing machine.
Bagezza Cooperative Savings and Credit Society, with over 3,700 members, was formed in 2003.
Its members are engaged in several profitable economic activities.
