According to Minister Namayanja, UPDF has so far evacuated over 2,000 Ugandans by Air and Road.
“The Government of Uganda sent another 13 buses which have just been dispatched by Uganda’s Ambassador in S. Sudan, Gen. Rusoke,” she observes.
These buses are said to be escorted by Military Police to “ensure safe passage of our nationals”.
“We appeal to all Ugandans in South Sudan to stay in contact with their leadership in the respective areas, those leaders are liaising with our Embassy constantly,” she notes.
