Though Lwakataka’s car got an engine problem while being tested yesterday in Mukono, the “daredevil” Ponsiano is so confident that the day will belong to him.
“I had engine problem yesterday but as of now, the car is in a fine condition. Next on my card is the Shs 2m, otherwise I may even be forced to increase the money for Shafick because he can’t win against me,” said Lwakataka.
“It wasn’t a big engine problem and I managed to work it out. The car is in ok and we are taking it to Mukono,” said one of Lwakataka’s mechanics.
However, Shafick Ssemujju has warned Lwakataka to avoid “early tricks” claiming that his car got an engine problem even before the start of the sprint.
“Let him come to me, I will help him get another car for today’s event but he shouldn’t say that his car got a problem earlier,” said Ssemujju.
Over 27 drivers registered to take part in today’s event which is a double sprint circuit that has 7.3km and the circuit can be termed as a one, twice repeated section which is competitive.
Spectators will have to part with Shs 10,000 to enjoy the show.
