“Some taxi drivers are using it as a tool for de-campaigning me. One of my relatives was travelling in a taxi when a passenger reached his destination but the driver refused to stop and stated that ‘the chairman you elected is the one who stops us from dropping you at your destination’,” he narrated.

Kiyimba ordered the council meeting to start investigating the operations of the taxi park management and once the management fails to change, he will be forced to close it within one month.

It should be noted that Kiyimba championed the starting up of this taxi park as one of the ways to change the standards of Kyengera to a town council.

Later, the sub county tendered this park to a private company which people say has exploited them too much to the extent that they are not allowed to board vehicles in the nearby locations.

But they have to look for designated places which they say are not only far but charge unfair prices.
