Police Deploy As Terror Looms Over Kampala

“According to our intelligence sources, these terror groups are both Ugandan and international,” Onyango told Chimpreports.


He added: “They are planning to attack police stations and other security installations mainly to grab guns and terrorise Ugandans in Kampala.”


Onyango further notes that as a result, police has deployed in various spots in the city as one of the measures to counter the threat.


“We have deployed heavily in town and around our security installations. We warn these terror groups not to engage because they will regret it,” Onyango pursued.


“They should stand warned that the long arm of the law will catch up with them if they don’t give up their plans in time.”


Onyango has called upon the public to stay calm because police will ensure their safety before, during and after the festive season.


He also noted that the musicians who liaised with police will receive maximum security during their shows but those who didn’t, will not be allowed.
