“The party has collected over 10,000 signatures from different Ugandans in the business community, the civil society organisations and political activists who wish to extend their condolences and pay great tribute to the family and the South African government for the fallen African Patriarch and freedom fighter.

Bosa, however, condemned the manner in which the parliament of Uganda behaved during the parliament tribute which expressed a disorganised state.

“Mandela’s death was not a surprise to the country since he was always seen in a dying state and this wouldn’t have appeared to be a surprise to the Ugandan parliament which reached an extent of paying the tribute twice and members making unclear statements more so those in Cabinet,” Bossa noted.

He, however, added that had it been the late Dr. Milton Obote in power, Uganda would be clearly represented and respected in S. Africa during the Memorial Day because the country greatly contributed to the liberation of S. Africa and Africa at large.

“It was Obote who gave Mandela the first passport after being denied one by the apartheid masters who were ruling the country by then which helped to secure his freedom of movement.”
