The function will be held at Njuba’s family home in Nangabo, Wakiso District.
“This changed from Thursday 19th December, which was earlier communicated,” said Muntu in a statement on Monday.
“Today Monday the 16th December 2013 at 1 pm, FDC members and leaders will pay their respects to Hon. Sam Njuba at the FDC Party Headquarters. Leaders from other political parties are also expected to join in the ceremony.”
From FDC headquarters in Najjanankumbi, along Entebbe Road, the casket containing Njuba’s remains will leave for his home in Nangabo; where it will spend the night.
A night vigil will be observed by relatives, colleagues and friends.
The Funeral Service in the local church, where Hon. Sam Njuba was an active member all his life, will begin at 10 am Tuesday 17th December 2013.
From Church, mourners shall proceed to the burial ground, at the family home.
This will be followed by lunch served at home.
Muntu described Njuba as “our friend, elder, leader, and freedom fighter.”
