CECAFA: Finals Halted As Referees Are detained

Referees Mutaz Khairalah (Sudan) and Rwanda’s Simba Honore were “detained’’ in the hotel for some good time although they were later on released to go and officiate.

Kenya and Sudan’s fans were kept waiting for more than an hour at Nyao stadium.

Burundi and Uganda were also held at Mlele hotel before in the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup this year though the Kenyan government came out to help the organising committee in paying $60,000 hotel bills.

Finally the organising committee has re-scheduled the time for the finals.

The game will kickoff at 6:30pm yet it was initially supposed to kick-off at 4pm.
