“Improvement of the Chuka town roads is part of the Jubilee Government transformative promises to Kenyans,” the President pointed out.

President Kenyatta noted that the time for politicking is over and leaders should rise above partisan politics and work together to uplift the living standards of all Kenyans.

“Tarmacking of roads within the town will help in wooing investors who in turn create job opportunities for the youth,” Kenyatta added.

He then added: “After 100 years, Chuka town needs to have tarmacked roads. As Government, we will join hands with Tharaka-Nithi County government in ensuring implementation of all its development plans.”

The President said the Jubilee Government is out to fulfil all its pledges it made during the campaign period and hence it has no time engaging in empty rhetoric.

He commended the current parliament for working closely with the executive in passing many government bills aimed at transforming the nation.

“We will work with those who are ready to work and not engage in empty talks. We have no time for cheap publicity,” President Kenyatta clarified.

He commended local political leaders for their unity and support of Jubilee Government in fulfilling its transformative agenda.
