Uganda needs only to win against Sudan in today’s game and in case of a draw, Uganda will finish 2nd in the group thus meeting Zambia in the quarter finals.

Though both teams (Uganda and Zambia) are regarded as favourites, if Uganda doesn’t win today’s game, one of the two teams will exit the tournament.

Meanwhile, Cranes players are confident that they will overwhelm Sudan in today’s game.

“Sudan is a good player and it will not be a walkover. However, I am confident we are going to defeat Sudan to top the group,” said Godfrey Walusimbi.

The Cranes need much effort to create channels where goals may be twisted from, if the team is really looking for a title defence.

In the first two opening games, Uganda has scored four goals with Emmanuel Okwi, the team captain, scoring twice in his only appearance in CECAFA this year.

In the same group, Rwanda has a task of winning their last game against Eritrea if Rwanda is really seeking to seal a qualification to quarter finals.

After losing two back to back games against Uganda and Sudan respectively, Rwanda needs to defeat Eritrea at least by 2-0 to qualify.
