On Saturday, she shamed critics and proved that she has got the backing of the fans when she survived eviction by being among the contestants who garnered maximum votes.

Daisy and Nyambura had earlier on took to the stage performing to Kenny Rodgers’ rendition Something inside so strong, an amazing performance it was.

Nyambura stated that she felt great performing with the lady with vocals, Daisy.

However, unlike in the previous eviction shows where the contestants have to re-do the rendition that had put them on probation, this time round, contestants were given a chance to perform their favourite songs.

Amos and Josh took to the stage and pulled out an incredible performance of Nameless’ rendition Deadly.

Patrick from Rwanda, performed Wainaina’s rendition Nchi ya kitu kidogo, giving it his all and it was quite a good performance.

Kojjo, Hope and Phionah performed Mulembe gwa Kirya, a rendition by Maurice Kirya, a beautiful performance although there were some failures with the microphone but the trio managed to handle it.

Lastly, all contestants took to the stage performing to Blurred lines by Robin Thicke, a rendition that Hisia from Tanzania performed last Sunday (the Tanzanian lad had given it his feel).

At the end of the show, that moment that everyone does not wish for, two contestants were evicted leaving five to battle it out at the grand finale.

Kojjo from Uganda and Phionah from Rwanda were evicted from the academy for collecting the least number of votes from East Africa.

All contestants in the academy stand an equal opportunity to pocket the money plus a one year record deal with Universal Music Group South Africa.

It is, therefore, your obligation to choose your favourite and best contestant who you believe has the best talent amongst all.

The last five contestants are;

Daisy———Tusker 7

Hope———–Tusker 4

Amos and Josh ——- Tusker 6

Patrick——-Tusker 9

Nyambura —–Tusker 10
