Musinguzi handed over shs16m which was being kept in a drawer.
A suspect identified as Arthur Ssembajjo was subsequently arrested at the University compound after police was alerted and started hunting for him and his colleagues.
Apparently, Ssembajjo had disguised as a client who had come to borrow money from the lending company, but when he gained access to the offices, he changed colours.
Meanwhile, Ssembajjo is being held at Wandegeya police station, whereas police is still hunting for the whereabouts of the gun and the money.
“We suspect that there were several accomplices in this robbery whomwe are hunting for. When apprehended, they will all be charged with armed robbery among other cases,” Ssenkumbi said.
As the festive season approaches, Ssenkumbi cautioned the public to be aware of impersonators and warned to crack down all those intending to obtain money by false pretence.
