On the other hand, Bwanika has condemned the manner in which security forces and KCCA handled the Lord Mayor’s lawyers and other Members of Parliament at City Hall during Erias Lukwago’s impeachment.
“The manner in which Lukwago’s lawyers were handled was too disrespectful and these police officers must be brought to book to answer charges of assault,” he added.
This comes at a time when Parliament’s Human Rights Committee has summoned the police leadership and their superiors at the Internal Affairs ministry to explain their involvement in the events that unfolded at KCCA on Monday during the impeachment of the Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago.
