Chimpreports brought you a weekend interview with Mzee Lutaya about his rapping skills and how he is not afraid of either GNL or Navio when it comes to lugaflow.
Well, Mzee Lutaya will be facing off with these giants live on stage and perhaps giving them a hint or two about rapping this lugaflow fete.
The concert, in which they are to meet, is an initiative of Ugandan Hip Hop musicians under their umbrella organisation, Bonfire Uganda who have joined hands to hold a live show for the Uganda Hip Hop fans.
The show, to be held tomorrow, Wednesday November 27 at the National Theatre, will involve a dancing competition, freestyle rap battles and performances from the best MCs in the country.
“All Hip Hop elements will be showcased but the most subjective here will be emcees doing their songs live,” said Ugly Emcee, the host.
He added: “this initiative is held in preparation for the Bonfire International Hip Hop Festival due January 2014.”
Ugly Emcee also clarified that the significance of Hip Hop live music is not only for making Hip Hop beyond the beats but to make Hip Hop music loved, understood and giving it an audience where Hip Hop artistes can use their creativity.
Bornfire International Hip Hop Festival is an event held once annually that brings together Hip Hop artists and dancers all over the world for music performances.
