Believers Urged To Support Local Churches

pharm geneva;”>While presiding over the fundraising ceremony for the construction of St Balikudembe Catholic Church in Buloba Parish Nsangi sub county Wakiso district, drugs Oryem remarked that “all of us should return back to the churches where we were baptised from and help enlarge them”.

“It is a shame for a big personality in a country to die and when you reach his home area, you find that the church can only accommodate 50 people,” Oryem said.

He advised people to continue with the spirit of forgiving one another since no body is perfect sighting an example that “if President Museveni can forgive Oryem and Oryem can forgive Museveni, then what about you”?

He contributed to the construction project by offering them Shs 5 million.

Lawrence Mulindwa, the former FUFA president, while speaking at the same function, called upon all people to willingly give back on what they have earned without waiting to be asked for a fixed amount.

“I have been impressed by Christians of this area in that you have managed to put up a beautiful house for the Lord. Continue with that spirit of giving in the little you have than confusing the organisers with the much you can’t fulfill,” Mulindwa said.

Rev Fr Edward Sebuliba, who represented the Archbishop, clarified that the church belongs to the people and whoever contributes a brick towards the construction, does it for the Almighty.

Over Shs 23 million was contributed from various personalities and organisations in both cash and pledges.
