She further said meetings have been held in various places on “planning and coordinating how to engage in criminal activities like causing chaos, engaging in burning and destroying properties.”

Onyango said the main purpose of the protests “is to cause mayhem and disrupt normal business.”

Security forces last week battled opposition supporters on Kampala streets as they protested moves to impeach embattled Mayor, Erias Lukwago.

Lukwago’s fate will be decided today at 9:00am in a special sitting at City Hall. He was implicated on three counts of misconduct, abuse of office and incompetence by the KCCA tribunal.

“This is to caution and strongly advise the youth (who have been mobilized) to shun the evil plans of these irresponsible individuals who are misleading you,” said Nabakooba.

“The people luring you into criminal activities will not be there when the law catches up with you. You shouldn’t be misused.”
