“I brought up the motion before the NRM caucus but I was let down by some party MPs who never seconded it,” Museveni stated.
The president was responding to the recent rampant murders and killings that hit greater Bushenyi leaving many people dead and others injured.
Museveni also warned on drug dealers whom he said will be handled with an iron hand.
The president pledged Shs 336m for the purchase and instalment of wide area computer networking of the SACCO with its branches and Shs 100m for the purchase of the SACCO’s vehicle.
The president was accompanied by the minister of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, Hon Ameria Kyambadde, the Bushenyi district woman area Member of Parliament Hon Mary Karoro Okurut, Hon Rapheal Magezi and the Bushenyi district chairman, Wills Bashasha.
