“We lost but we have assessed the errors and hope to over-come every error though football remains a game of mistakes which your opponents use to become victorious,” said George Ssemwogerere, in a Face book interview.

Ssemwogerere explained that these games are helpful to the team since it takes longer for the team to assemble and so getting a friendly game might be among the key factors to its strong foundation in process of building the senior national team.

Jamal Salim, the KCCA goalkeeper, is expected to retain his position though he conceded three goals.

Yusuf Mukisa of Proline FC is also expected to be the team skipper as well as the commander of his team’s centre back.

The Uganda national Under-23 team had spent nearly two years without having any game at the international level.

Uganda under-age team last showed impressive performance fourteen years ago during the All African games in South Africa after going up-to semi-finals.

Since then, Uganda under-age teams have always been ejected earlier in many of the tournaments during qualifiers.

Meanwhile, due to this game, the federation has postponed three FUFA Super League matches that had to be held on Tuesday since some clubs have players in the Under-23 team which is still in Thailand.

Games pushed to later dates are: URA vs KCCA, Proline vs BIDCO as well as Simba vs Kira Young.

The League Committee will communicate the date on which the three games will be played.
