Mrs. Diana Businge Agaba, just as her last name suggests, is generous with attacks against her opponents which probably explains her swift rise to prominence!

She normally dons a dread-like hairstyle and walks majestically that you would hardly notice how dangerous and skilled she is on the sand.

Diana started playing beach volley ball in 2003 with her first partner being Laker Milly whom she played with till 2006.

In 2007, she started a long partnership with Josephine Nammanda and that partnership can be compared to a coffee bean blood pact that has lasted up to this day.

She and Josephine have arguably featured in the most finals than any other ladies pair considering that they have played in 6 straight finals stretching to 2012.

This year (2013), she also played with Alice Gitta with whom she won the national championship.

Diana is no stranger to the International scene, having partnered with Mariam Nakamya in Mombasa on two occasions winning a bronze there in 2010.

She also featured in the Olympics sub-zonal qualifiers in Rwanda in 2011, besides the International that is always hosted at Lido beach.

With International experience and local dominance, Diana has garnered a number of accolades to her name, notably being Seed one in 2009 a position that she has reclaimed by the ending of the 2013 season.

She has 9 trophies to her name, 3 of these being National championships won in 2007, 2009 and 2013; one national open title and one bronze medal from Mombasa and the others being regular circuits.

All these accolades are owed to Diana’s accurate dig sets and good services that give a traumatic time to her opponents.

She is happily married to Mr. Kevin Businge with two promising power attackers in Derrick and Donald.

In the coming years, she sees herself retiring from regular volleyball and concentrating on beach volleyball, which she is so passionate about.

With such a profile, it is no surprise that Diana has been summoned to Team Uganda for the Castle Lite International competitions scheduled for this month.

Currently, if you talk about regular volleyball, she does play for KAVC and with no hope of moving away till her retirement.
