As per Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) directive, all the candidates were briefed and cautioned about the examinations guidelines last Friday.
According to UNEB Executive secretary, Mathew Bukenya, this year a total of 116,027 candidates are expected to sit their final exams in all the Examination Centers country wide.
The candidates have started with Economics paper 1 and Biology paper 3 today morning, a session that started at 8.30am and in the evening, they will sit for Economics paper 2, beginning at 1.30pm.
“This time UNEB has deployed over 600 scouts and invigilators to monitor these exams,” Bukenya said.
On the other hand, the UNEB chairman, Mr. Fagil Mande has advised all students not to be tempted to cheat exams because UNEB will not hesitate to cancel their exams as it happened to some candidates last year.
He further cautioned them not to take these exams for granted because they have too much impact on their future.
News reaching our desk shows that the exams have started on time in most schools in Kampala and its suburbs since the students reported early enough.
