Pugilists Amote, Batantu Fall To Opponents

In his charity fight at Hilton Hotel, Musa Batantu lost to Ireland’s Kenny Egan on points after the end of the specified ten rounds.

According to judges’ cards, it was 39-33, 44-34, 49-35 all in favour of the Irish.

In an interview with Chimpsport, Egan said, “Musa is a good fighter but lacks some skill. I think with time he will improve and be able to challenge for other big titles world-wide.”

In other fights, Badru ‘Mr Crush’ Lusambya beat Tanzania’s Zombwe Kukwe in forty two seconds after the start of round two of the fight.

Zebra Ssenyange also beat Ibrahim Zziwa in a second round knockout.

Meanwhile at Club Obliggato, Fred Muhumuza beat Kenya’s Patrick Amote after ten rounds.

However, the Kenyan was not satisfied with the judge’s decision and requested for a rematch.
