The Masaza Cup organizing committee, therefore declared Mawokota winners and were cleared to play the finals.

However, the 2011 Masaza champions didn’t agree with the decision of the committee thus handing in their petition to Buganda Prime Minister Charles Peter Mayiga.

“We don’t agree with the decision and soon we shall have a press briefing to explain if we are to continue taking part in any of the Buganda organised tournaments. Otherwise we have lost confidence in the current minister as a matter of fact we want him to step down,” explained Brian Masembe, the team manager for Buluuli.

The Masaza cup finals are scheduled for October 5 at Nakivubo stadium.
