The Public Service Minister added that it would help them maintain a high level of professionalism while in and outside the school.
“We have been seeing circumstances where teachers after giving class works to pupils in the morning rush to nearby bars and start taking alcohol but with the new law, they will not be able to go there,”Mbaguta noted.
The Minister also appealed to teachers to teach patriotism to children so that they develop a strong love and concern for their country when still young.
The minister’s words come after teachers under the umbrella body UNATU signed a memorandum of understanding with the government and agreed to go back to class.
