The annual event organised by the Uganda Manufacturers Association is a mult-sectoral trade fair that has for the last 2 decades, provided Ugandans with a platform to market their goods and services alongside big international producers.
The fair organizers are confident that even this time round, the national manufacturers and the economy will get a boost, as more participants from overseas are will introduce new and improved technology onto the Ugandan and East African markets.
Last year, the trade fair attracted 995 exhibitors from 28 countries, in which five national pavilions were put up by Republic of South Africa, Kenya, Britain, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates.
Several other exhibitors came from Egypt, Japan, Ghana, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Germany, Zimbabwe, India, Iran, Nigeria, Singapore, Cameroon, Tanzania, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Italy and Uganda.
Running under the theme “A Multi-Sectoral event providing a unique platform for marketing products and services,” this year’s event is expected to involve other activities including interactions, special demonstrations, talks, cocktails among others.
Exhibitors are therefore expected from other countries including Egypt, Japan, Ghana, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Germany, Zimbabwe, India, Iran, Nigeria, Singapore, Cameroon, Tanzania, Hong Kong, and Pakistan.
