The state minister further noted that negotiations negations between government and the teachers are underway so as to address the teachers’ grievances.

Muyingo explained that government doesn’t have money now but noted that they will find ways of increasing the teachers’ salaries.

The state minister advised the teachers to go back to classes as they wait for the negotiations with government.

Teachers announced a ninety day industrial action for failure by government to pay their twenty percent salary increment .
