While presiding over the fourth graduation ceremony for Mengo School of Nursing and Midwifery in Kampala, Muyingo noted that the lives of the people lie in the hands of the nurses and therefore urged them to protect them.
“Nurses have all the powers over patients’ life and should therefore try to save it all the times,” explained Muyingo.
The state minister applauded parents who cater for all the educational needs for their children stressed that education is the best gift parents can give to their children.
Muyingo therefore advised the graduands to cater for their parents as the only way of appreciating them for their sacrifice towards their children
In his speech the Bishop for Namirembe Cathedral Rev. Samson Kityo Luwalira appealed to the graduands to love their profession and serve the nation well.
Of the 175 students, 114 graduated with certificates in comprehensive nursing while 28 had dipoloma in nursing and 33graduands obtained diplomas in midwifery.
