How Police Rounded Up Armed Robbers At MTN Store


more about geneva;”>According to price geneva; font-size: small;”>Kampala Metropolitan area police spokesperson, Ibin Ssenkumbi, the thugs had broken into the ware store in Ntinda when their plot was foiled by Police.

“The thieves failed to connive with the guards in the robbery mission. It is the guards who leaked the plot to police,”’ added Senkumbi.

“We surrounded the stores before the thugs arrived. The robbers were put at gunpoint by the guards before police, which has sorrounded the area, arrested them.”

The police official said one of the suspected robbers was put out of action as he attempted to resist arrest.

“Some of the suspects are former workers of MTN whom we believe might have planned the move,” explained Senkumbi.

He further explained that the vehicle registration number UAD 453J which was being used by thugs was impounded by police.

The suspects are Meddie Kaya, Vincent Nkugwa , George Patrick Wandera, Geoffrey Abukaluma, Willy Ntege and Musa Mawejje.

Ssenkumbi said they will be charged for aggregated robbery.
