Mangat will be looking ahead to either increase the gap between him and his followers or to win the rally and be crowned African champion even with one rally to go.
Ten Ugandan drivers will be participating in the Rwanda rally but with only Mangat and Lwakataka eligible to score points while the points of the other Ugandan drivers will be added onto the Uganda national rally championship for this year.
In an interview with Chimpreports, drugs George Ssemakula the co-driver for Ponsiano Lwakataka confirmed that they are ready for the Rwanda rally.
‘‘The car is in good condition and we hope to win this rally because we have the capacity,’’ stressed Ssemakula.
Lwakataka has managed to finish in the podium positions in the three rallies he has participated in this year leave alone the Freedom City challenge rally where the driver came third behind Ronald Ssebuguzi.
Jas Mangat and was later docked off all the points after being found guilty of using two time cards in the rally.
