The Chairman therefore noted that the update of the register for Buhweju would commence on 19 to 25 to enable all people of voting age to participate.
Kiggundu added that voting for both the woman Member of Parliament for Buhweju and the district directly elected councilor for Nyakisana subcounty would take place on the same day.
”The nomination of candidates shall be conducted on 10 to 11 of October which will be followed by a six day period for the public to view their nomination papers,’’ explained Kiggundu.
“Polling shall take place on Tuesday 31th October 2013 at all polling stations in Buhweju and tallying of results as well,” noted Kiggundu.
Kiggundu therefore warned against engaging in election malpractice and vowed to crack down on the perpetuators.
